World Medical Equipment announces the expansion of its new and improved Service Department. For over 20 years, WME has sold high quality medical equipment to facilities nationwide. For the last ten years, WME has also offered parts for equipment. Now, WME is expanding its service department, bolstering its presence in the Northwest and the Northeast, and enabling facilities to use the same quality and service, for which WME is renowned, to maintain their equipment on-site. After many years of refurbishing equipment, WME technicians know every make and model of equipment, inside and out. This expertise is now available to more facilities nationwide, providing preventive maintenance (PM) contracts, installation jobs, and on-call maintenance services.

This is the seventh year, in the past ten, in which World Medical has received the honor of making this list. The Journal evaluates the growth of regional companies over a three year period and rates them by percentage rate of growth. World Medical, currently in its 20th year of doing business, has shown it can consistently grow its customer base, year after year, through attention to quality and customer service.

For many years Ambulatory Surgery Centers have been reaping the savings from purchasing refurbished Surgical Equipment. Recent changes in our healthcare system have placed an even greater financial burden on hospitals. This financial pressure has prompted hospitals to take a closer look at the viability of purchasing refurbished equipment to help curb capital spending. World Medical Equipment has launched a bold new initiative which provides a comprehensive solution to any customer looking to build their own surgery center. For the past two years we have been compiling a team of specialists that would enable us to provide an option to Surgeons and Administrators to the traditional methods of constructing a surgery center. Everything about the traditional approach is custom and requires a huge investment in time from all the parties involved, is subject to price variations due to delays and specification changes and generally takes over 18 months to complete from the point of having signed prints. The World Medical approach dramatically reduces the time spent planning the project, requires no on-site planning meetings in caravans with the owners in less than desirable conditions. World Medical Equipment is pleased to announce the addition of a new line of patient monitoring to its product portfolio. Effective 15th December 2009 World Medical were awarded a national contract to distribute the Criticare line of patient monitors throughout the US. Over the past few years the company has been gaining a stronger presence in this market which made the decision to add this line a very easy one. This line of patient monitors provides the perfect complement to our existing anesthesia business and further reinforces our commitment to be a major player in the Perioperative market segment.
